What is Kambo (Sapo)?
Kambo, also called Sapo, is an ancient traditional medicine from the Amazon and is used to clean the human organism. The medicine consists of the secretions of the giant maki frog (Phyllomedusa bicolor).
So that the medicine can be taken from the frog, it is stretched on all four legs and the secretion is removed from his body. The frog has no pain and is then released again.
The secretion is applied directly to a small burn on the skin and thus gets into the bloodstream of the body. The effect of the medicine appears after a few seconds, is extremely intense and takes about 20 minutes. The effects are severe vomiting, diarrhea, sweating, weakness and an increased heart rate. The symptoms are similar to those of the flu, only stronger but much shorter. So that one can vomit well, about 2 liters of water are drunk before use.
Dozens of different tribes in the Amazon region use this traditional medicine to strengthen the immune system. Since the medicine acts on the lymphatic system, various toxins are removed from the body, which are excreted together with the vomited water.
Western scientists have also become aware of the secretion since the 1980s and are researching the content and effects of this healing medicine. One of the most famous researchers is Peter Gorman and he has written a book called "Sapo in my Soul".
Following secretion ingredients have been proven by science
The two vasodilators phyllokinin and phyllomedusin, which also act on the blood and brain barrier. This allows other peptides contained in the secretion to reach their site of action more quickly.
Caerulein and sauvagin. They lower blood pressure and have a sensory and performance-enhancing effect.
Dermorphin and deltorphins. These strengthen the immune system and destroy pathogenic agents. They are 4000 times more potent than morphine and 40 times more potent than endogenous b-endorphins.
Adenoregulin. This peptide as the main component of the human cell. It helps with diseases such as depression, Alzheimer's or strokes.
The secretion also has antibiotic properties. It stimulates the immune system to produce antibodies and increases the production of platelets (platelets) and erythrocytes (red blood cells). It is considered the strongest natural antibiotic and has antiviral properties, as well as analgesics, such as demorphin.
Medicine has a positive effect on the following mental and physical illnesses
Alzheimer's, anxiety, lack of drive, depressive moods. Hepatitis, epilepsy, diabetes, Lyme disease, migraines, high blood pressure, Hashimoto, allergies, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic pain, addictions, gastritis, amyotopic lateral sclerosis (ALS), multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, antidote for toxic substances, skin and eye diseases.
If you are going to be treated with Kambo for the first time, it is recommended to do this 2 to 3 times within 1 to 2 weeks. Often, a “Kambo vaccination” is also used before an Ayahuasca ceremony to cleanse, strengthen and attract more attention.
Personal experiences with Kambo (Sapo)
I learned to use Kambo with Curanderos in the Amazon Rainforest Peru. I am now using this healing practice very carefully.
I personally felt the Kambo ceremony very intensely, vomitating hard and colorful at the beginning. It's helpful to make a dieta before and drink a lot of Water that your body can detoxify better.
It takes experience to be able to recognize how much a person can endure in poison. I was lucky to work with experienced Curanderos. After 20-40 minutes the ceremony was over and I felt light, almost relaxed and a deep strength filled my body. My senses awake and strong.
I respect the sacred frog medicine and appreciate the gift of Pachamama. Highly recommended to do it where the origin is: In the Amazon Rainforest with experienced Curanderos.
